Supporting patients; empowering researchers to find a cure for Parkinson’s Disease.

Supporting education and innovation.

The Parkinson’s Disease Project raises funds, and uses those funds to educate students in research techniques, such as gene editing using CRISPR/CAS9, in the hopes that one day they will help find a permanent cure for Parkinson’s Disease.

Through our Grant process, we assess and select students to receive funds towards furthering their education through one of our programs in biological research techniques that aim to find a permanent cure for Parkinson’s Disease.

Educating Future Researchers

With the advent of CRISPR/CAS9, we believe that a whole new avenue has opened up to find a permanent cure for the very cause of Parkinson’s Disease, and relieve the pain of tens of millions suffering worldwide. We support training in sophisticated techniques such as CRISPR/CAS9 for gene editing, which will be critical in finding a cure.

Supporting patients suffering from Parkinson’s Disease

Several therapies currently exist to improve the quality of life of those patients currently suffering from Parkinson’s Disease. We help patients in a myriad of ways to stay active, and fend off the debilitating effects of Parkinson’s Disease.

Support for Caregivers

While Parkinson’s Disease affects patients, their caregivers also need support through mental, and physical assistance, as this disease can last for several decades in most cases.

“The Parkinson’s Disease Project has been able to serve economically disadvanged students in learning techniques that can help advance their future careers in medical cure and care.”

— Usha Sarvaiya, Executive Director, Parkinson’s Disease Project
